This historic venue was the perfect location for the history making wedding of Josh and Marissa Zalasky. This adventurous couple managed to blend history and tradition – like stomping the glass, and the traditional raised chair dance – with modern elements, like their custom cake topper and pre-ceremony first look – to make the wedding of their dreams come true. November 4, 2017, we excitedly captured every detail of their elegant, tasteful wedding, like the invitations fashioned after plane tickets, the groom’s airplane-themed cufflinks, and the bride’s shoes beautifully and unique adorned with crystal tips. Theirs wasn’t a whirlwind romance. Instead, it was a world travelers dream come true.
Part of what made the reception so exceptional were the themed guest tables. You see, Josh and Marissa met in college and kept their love strong even through each of their independent study abroad travels. That time spent temporarily apart from each other indeed made their hearts grow fonder. It also sparked a love of travel Josh and Marissa shared with their guests by modeling each reception table after one of the many countries they’d visited. Topped by a picture of the couple in each country, these tables were a big hit with everyone.
